Felix Silla — who famously portrayed the popular ‘Cousin Itt’ character on the iconic “Addams Family” classic television comedy — digs deep and shares stories of his remarkable rise to fame with nostalgic fans who gathered to see him at the 2018 Niagara Falls Comic Con.

Felix Anthony Silla (born January 11, 1937), also credited as Felix Cilla, is an Italian-born American actor and stuntman in film and television best-known for his role as the costumed ‘Cousin Itt’ character on the iconic television show “The Addams Family.” The character was not part of Charles Addams’ original comic, but was introduced in the television series by Addams Family producer David Levy. Although the character of Cousin Itt did not debut on The Addams Family until almost a third of the way through the entire series, Silla’s portrayal of the character made him so popular that Cousin Itt was carried over into various media including both the animated series and the motion picture versions of The Addams Family.

He began his career as a bareback rider, trapeze artist and tumbler with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circuses, and transitioned to stunt work in films like “A Ticklish Affair.” As an actor, his feature film credits include “The Black Bird,” “The Towering Inferno,” “The Hindenburg,” and “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” wherein he played ‘Wunka,’ the adorable flying Ewok. He also had a small role in the indie film “Characterz.” Felix’s television credits include “Battlestar Galactica,” “Star Trek: The Original Series” where he played the character ‘Talosian’ and “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” where he portrayed the beloved ‘Twiki’ character. He provided the voice of ‘Mortimer Goth’ from “The Sims 2” — the best-selling video game of 2005. Mr. Silla was also a founding member of the “The Original Harmonica Band,” recognized as one of the top performing/recording groups of that genre.
