Goonies 30th Anniversary Panel with Joe Pantoliano, Robert Davi and Sean Astin at Niagara Falls Comic Con 2015

“The Goonies” castmates Joe Pantoliano, Robert Davi and Sean Astin — AKA: criminal ‘Francis Fratelli,’ opera-singing heavy ‘Jake Fratelli’ and the de facto leader of The Goonies ‘Mikey Walsh’ — reunite onstage to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this iconic film, share behind-the-scenes stories, discuss their respective careers and answer fan questions at their 2015 Niagara Falls Comic Con Q&A panel.

“The Goonies” is a 1985 American adventure comedy film that became a cult classic. It is centered on a band of kids who live in the “Goon Docks” neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon who attempt to save their homes from demolition, and in so doing, discover an old Spanish map that leads them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed Willy — a legendary 17th-century pirate. They are continuously chased by a family of criminals who want the treasure for themselves. In 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.”

Joseph Peter Pantoliano (born September 12th, 1951) is an American actor and comedian who has often played shady characters, criminals or corrupt individuals. Some of his well-received earlier work includes portraying the pimp ‘Guido’ in “Risky Business” (1983), the bail bondsman ‘Eddie Moscone’ in “Midnight Run” (1988) and ‘Deputy U.S. Marshal Cosmo Renfro’ in both “The Fugitive” (1993) and its sequel “U.S. Marshals” (1998). Pantoliano was also the memorable ‘Cypher’ in “The Matrix” (1999), ‘Teddy’ in “Memento” (2000), ‘Captain Conrad Howard’ in the “Bad Boys” franchise (1995-2020) and ‘Ralph Cifaretto’ in “The Sopranos” (2001-2004). More recently he appeared as ‘Michael Gorski’ in the Netflix series “Sense8” (2015-2017).

Robert John Davi (born June 26th, 1951) is an American actor, classically trained singer and entertainer who has performed in more than 130 films. Among his most recognized roles are Vietnam veteran and ‘FBI Special Agent Johnson’ in “Die Hard” (1988), Bond villain ‘Franz Sanchez’ in “Licence to Kill” (1989), ‘police deputy chief Phil Heinemann’ in Predator 2 (1990) and strip club manager ‘Al Torres’ in Showgirls (1995). On television, Davi had recurring roles on the NBC show “Profiler” (1996–2000) and “Stargate: Atlantis” (2004-2008) to name a few. He launched his professional singing career in 2011 with his first album: “Davi Sings Sinatra,” and a its single “On the Road to Romance” hit No. 6 on the Billboard jazz charts.

Sean Patrick Astin (born February 25th, 1971) is an American film actor, voice actor, director and producer best known for portraying ‘Samwise Gamgee’ in “The Lord of the Rings trilogy” (2001–2003), the title character in the inspirational and universally applauded “Rudy” (1993) and most recently ‘Bob Newby’ in the second season of Stranger Things (2017). His other notable television roles include ‘Lynn McGill’ in the fifth season of “24,” voicing ‘Raphael’ in Nickelodeon’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (2012-2017) and ‘Jim Kent’ in Guillermo del Toro’s “The Strain” (2014-2015). His appeared in films throughout the 1990s including the Showtime science fiction film “Harrison Bergeron” (1995), the Gulf War film “Courage Under Fire” (1996), the Warren Beatty political satire “Bulworth” (1996) and the romantic comedy “Boy Meets Girl” (1997). Astin also appeared in the successful Adam Sandler comedies “50 First Dates” (2004) and “Click” (2006).
