The team behind the new Netflix series “The Dragon Prince” — Co-Creator Justin Richmond, Executive Producer Giancarlo Volpe, Head of Community Development Danika Harrod and Paula Burrows who is the voice of ‘Rayla’ on the show — provide an exciting inside look into this highly anticipated epic fantasy tale ahead of its September 14th, 2018 premiere. We wish to thank Danika Harrod for allowing us to film and post their Q&A panel at the 2018 Fan Expo Canada in Toronto, and Amanda Vidgal with Netflix PR for sanctioning the use of the “The Dragon Prince” teaser trailer in our video.
“The Dragon Prince” is a computer-animated fantasy television series created by Aaron Ehasz (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Futurama) and Justin Richmond (Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception), and produced by Wonderstorm. Netflix describes the series thusly: “In the magical land of Xadia, magic comes from six primal sources: the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Sky, the Earth and the Ocean. But when human mages create a seventh kind of magic, Dark Magic — they begin capturing and harvesting the unique magical creatures they need as ingredients. This sparks a catastrophic war between Xadia and the Human Kingdoms. Three kids from opposite sides of the conflict — two human princes (‘Callum’ voiced by Jack DeSena and his brother ‘Ezran’ voiced by Sasha Rojen), and the elven assassin (‘Rayla’ voiced by Paula Burrows) who was sent to kill them — discover a secret that could change everything. They decide to join forces and go on an epic journey that may be their only hope of ending the war, and restoring peace to both their worlds.”
