Scott Wilson (born William Delano Wilson on March 29th, 1942 – October 6th, 2018) was an accomplished and respected American actor with more than 50 film credits, including high calibre classic films like “In the Heat of the Night” (1967), “In Cold Blood” (1967), “The Great Gatsby” (1974), “Dead Man Walking” (1995), “Pearl Harbor” (2001) and “Junebug” (2005). In 1980, he received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in “The Ninth Configuration.” Wilson also had a recurring television role on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2001-2006) as casino mogul ‘Sam Braun’ and a lead role on the Netflix series “The OA” as ‘Abel Johnson’ (2016-2019).
